The summer of 2022 marked a profound turning point in my life, as I suffered from losing my mother while witnessing the “Woman, Life, Freedom” demonstrations in Iran. This convergence of personal and political upheavals prompted me to embark on a deeply personal journey of grief and had a profound impact on my outlook on life.  The coincidence of my personal misfortune with the fortuitous rise of empowering feminist protests in Iran prompted me to reimagine grief beyond its personal scope and reframe it within a broader social and collective context. This realization led me to understand the transformative power of grief as a driving force behind cultural and social movements, highlighting its capacity to bring about change and facilitate a sense of shared experience.
